Peer Legal is pleased to announce the return of Tobi Rosengarten as a Senior Associate, reinforcing the firm’s capabilities in advisory and disputes.
Tobi is a seasoned commercial lawyer with a broad spectrum of experience spanning both public and private sectors. Her expertise includes litigation, contract law, and regulatory compliance, with a strong track record of advising on complex legal matters. Tobi began her legal journey at Peer Legal as a paralegal in 2021. She later joined MinterEllison, completing their graduate program and settling in the Climate, Competition and Technology group as a regulatory lawyer. During her tenure, she advised the Victorian Government on major renewable energy and transmission infrastructure projects, and contributed to energy law reform initiatives. Her portfolio also included advisory work on administrative and commercial matters for key stakeholders such as VicGrid, the Department of Premier and Cabinet, WorkSafe Victoria, the Australian Energy Market Operator, and Jemena. In a move reflecting her commitment to social justice, Tobi transitioned to the Victorian Aboriginal Legal Service (VALS), where she practiced as a criminal lawyer. There, she advocated for vulnerable Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients in the Magistrates’ Court, further deepening her understanding of community legal needs. Now returning to Peer Legal as a Senior Associate, Tobi brings a wealth of experience and a multidisciplinary perspective. She will focus on assisting clients with regulatory advice, drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, and guiding clients through dispute resolution across jurisdictions. Tobi’s return marks a significant enhancement to Peer Legal’s service offering, aligning with the firm’s commitment to delivering agile, informed, and client-focused legal solutions. Eight years ago, our Managing Principal, Peter Moran, founded Peer Legal with a bold vision: to build a boutique commercial law firm that champions innovation not just in legal practice, but in client service and workplace culture
. Today, we’re proud to celebrate eight years of growth, collaboration and impact. Our journey has been shaped by the incredible clients we work with: businesses and individuals who inspire us to deliver legal solutions that are commercial, responsive and truly best-in-class. As we mark this milestone, we’re more energised than ever to keep pushing boundaries and redefining what a modern law firm can be. Thank you to everyone who’s been part of our story so far. Peer Legal welcomes back Oliver Wilhelm to strengthen our employment practice.

The team at Peer Legal are excited to (belatedly) welcome Ziggy Markus as our newest Peer.

Ziggy has already been supporting our Peers for around six months in both administrative and paralegal tasks. He is relishing the chance to add practical experience to his legal education and is loving working with all our Peers, soaking up the learnings like a sponge. Welcome aboard Ziggy! Joining our team earlier this year, Ben is Peer Legal's newest addition. Recently graduating from the University of Melbourne, Ben brings with him experience from government and the community legal sector. As the firm's Legal Trainee, Ben lends a hand with a variety of client matters that Peer Legal deals with. His attention to detail, calm and collected manner and eagerness to take on new and interesting work makes him well positioned to grow and learn with the firm.
Peer Legal warmly welcomes Mel Morley to the team as our final new addition for 2021. Mel brings 25 years of experience in accounts, bookkeeping and administration, an outgoing nature and can-do attitude to our firm. Mel’s ability to provide service excellence makes her a real asset to the team, especially one as busy as we have been over the past 6 months.
Welcome aboard Mel! Peer Legal is excited to announce another new addition to our growing team of lawyers with the arrival of Brodie Williams.
Brodie has a wealth of experience in the intellectual property space making her our unofficial IP guru. In particular, having worked at IP Australia and a large alcohol and FMCG company, Brodie has valuable insight into navigating the trade mark registration process. A runner, surfer, DJ and mother of one, Brodie is certainly a well-rounded Peer. Check out her full profile here for a list of matters she can assist you with. Welcome aboard Brodie! Peer Legal is excited to announce Rebecca Sthenski as the newest lawyer to join our growing team. With a wide variety of paralegal and advocacy experience in private practice, in-house and government work, Rebecca will bring her knowledge and passion for commercial law to assist our Peers to achieve the best outcomes for clients. Rebecca’s keen eye for detail, calm and confident demeanour and eagerness to take on new challenges makes her an excellent addition to the Peer Legal team.
