The team at Peer Legal are very excited to welcome Doug Robertson as a Consulting Principal. Doug is a senior corporate and commercial lawyer with nearly 40 years experience advising a broad range of Australian and international clients, including public and private companies and trusts. Doug will greatly expand Peer Legal’s commercial expertise, in particular in the areas of Equity Raisings, FIRB and Inbound Investment, Funds Management and Managed Investment Schemes, Co-operatives and Agribusiness and Financial Services. Doug will also join Chair, Liz Harris, as Peer Legal’s second advisory board member.
As leaders in the law of electronic contracts, Peer Legal is pleased to offer its expertise in assisting electronic signing and witnessing processes. All the team at Peer Legal are excited to “officially” welcome Paige Comensoli. Paige actually commenced working as part of Peer’s commercial law team in late 2019 but spent most of the first half of 2020 on an in-house contract role at the University of Melbourne. Paige has legal experience working both in-house and in private practice and has a particular interest in the health and disability sectors. Paige further expands the breadth of Peer Legal’s commercial and M&A team and adds depth with her particular focus on compliance, governance and risk management.
The team at Peer Legal are very excited to welcome Liz Harris to the newly created role of "Chair - Advisory Board". Liz is a highly regarded costs lawyer and has been a trail-blazer in encouraging law firms to move from time-based billing to value pricing. She brings a depth of expertise and understanding as to the changes and challenges confronting law firms and in-house legal teams, both big and small. Her experience, wisdom and clear thinking will greatly benefit all of the team at Peer Legal, but particularly its leadership group.

Brooke is completing her fourth year of a law/science degree and has a keen interest in the areas of Intellectual Property, Media, and the intersection between tech and the law. He has a diverse background with both legal and clinical qualifications. Oliver is a proactive and commercially minded lawyer, focused on providing pragmatic advice to enable business to safely navigate the complex workplace law landscape. Peer Legal’s latest alert provides an overview of the changes to Victoria’s OHS laws via the introduction of the new Workplace Manslaughter scheme. The latest changes place additional obligations on employers and are designed to impose greater accountability and recourse for breaches of OHS laws. Employers need to be mindful of the laws and take steps to ensure compliance.
